I got off the bus at Edensor and spent several minutes taking photos in the village; I always take a lot of photographs at Edensor if the weather's nice.
The dustbins in the village are small, only eighteen inches square, but the green bins, used for re-cycling or maybe garden waste, are tiny.
I headed south, going across the parkland and then the fringes of Calton Pastures before passing through woodland and looping round to Bakewell, planning the longest route I could find to stretch out the walk. I approached Bakewell from the south, using the footpath that stays quite close to the River Wye; its water level was the highest I've ever seen it.
