Shatton, Abney, and Offerton

I got off the bus at Shatton and walked through the village until I reached a footpath that goes across some pastures at the back of the houses. I then headed west until I joined the path that goes up to Brough Lane, a well-maintained green lane.

 

I've not noticed this owl that's incorporated into a wall before; I wonder how long it's been there?

I continued to Abney and then took a path across the moors to the hamlet of Offerton.

Finally, I walked alongside the River Derwent and caught the bus back to Sheffield from the same place I started my walk this morning.
