Epworth and Haxey

Another walk with a couple of friends from Leeds today starting at Epworth on the Isle of Axholme to the east of Doncaster.

We left the town going out towards the south east and soon reached the Peatlands Way long distance footpath which we followed for most of the way to Haxey. We ate our sandwiches in the churchyard, although there was no seat to sit on; the recently mowed grass was comfortable though.

Before setting off to return to Epworth we went in the pub nearest to the church for a drink and to use the toilets; the diet cola I was served was possibly the worst I've ever tasted.
