Eyam, Stoney Middleton, and Stoke Hall

Looking at the Ordnance Survey map online a few days ago I found a footpath in the area of the Peak District which I can easily reach on public transport which I don't think I've walked along yet and so I went to investigate.

I travelled on the 57 bus to Eyam and immediately walked over the hill to Stoney Middleton; this is where the path begins, going up besides an old Methodist chapel. The path climbs up to the recently abaandoned road from Grindleford to Eyam.

I'd definitely not used the path before: it was steeper than expected and was a difficult climb for me these days. I continued down the old abandoned road for a few hundred yards until I reached the path that goes down to Stoke Hall. I waited for the bus back to Sheffield there, it's the stop that serves Froggatt.

I'd had enough, I was quite tired - I've been diagonosed with high blood pressure and prescribed some new tablets. One of the side effects in some people is fatigue, and that certainly applies to me...they're very effective at reducing my blood pressure though. I was told by the doctor that this unwanted side effect can wear off after a few months...I'm still waiting though.
