It was a late start for me this morning and so I wasn't able to go the Peak District, so instead I caught the local bus to Maltby and walked to Langold. I went to the church and then took the footpath leading to Roche Abbey. I continued to the pretty village of Stone and then walked across the fields to Firbeck.
As I was sitting in the pub enjoying a glass of Diet Coke I briefly thought about going to Letwell, but decided against it and took the shortest route over to Langold to catch the bus back to Doncaster.
