I wasn't expecting seeing this today; it hasn't really rained that much in Doncaster recently...but I suppose it's the melting snow coming down from the moors.
By the look of things I estimate the water level to be at least 8ft higher then normal. I usually have to walk down the ramp to reach the landing stage of the rowing club; today it was completely level.
The island between the river and the canalised section had been breached in a couple of places and the weir and the fish ladder were almost underwater.
